Rounding out the team’s top seven were graduate student Zachary Malik (29:35.5), freshman Owen Klein (29:41.0), and freshman Edward Soriano (29:45.7). We’d also like to give a shoutout to Binghamton Running Club alumnus Daniel Adrion, who came back to compete and ran a 29:18.1, finishing ninth overall. In terms of team scores, painted pumpkins were given out to the top three schools in each race. For the men, Syracuse University came in third, University at Buffalo came in second, and Binghamton took the first place title. This managed to be a double victory, as the women scored first as well. Ithaca College came in second, and Stony Brook University placed third. The complete NIRCA results can be found in the "Race Schedule" tab. After the race, athletes snacked on bagels and bananas, food given to us from two of our sponsors, Bagel Factory and Weis. We would like to thank them and another one our sponsors, Vestal Coal House, as well as give a special shout out to our gold sponsors, Visions Federal Credit Union, Triple Cities Running Club, and Binghamton Health Campaign. Thanks to all of your extreme generosity, we were able to make improvements to our annual race, including the purchase of a new race. Your contributions that helped make this race possible were felt not only in this race, but will also be felt in the years to come. |
