This past Saturday, some members of our team traveled to Oneonta Airfield Invitational to put their talents to the test at this Division 3 Meet.
The men's team competed in the 6k, placing third as a team. Freshman Brian Egan led the BRC runners, placing 27th overall with an excellent time of 22:10.6. Juniors Jasper Suhr and Jonathan Davis also had impressive performances, running 23:32.8 and 24:51.6 respectively. New BRC members Michael McBride (25:03.7) and Anthony Dangio (29:15.9) rounded out the team's top five. The women competed in the 4.5k, placing second as a team. Freshman Sarah Vener led the pack for BRC, running an impressive 18:55.9 and placing third overall. Other strong finishers were senior Megan Doyle (19:47.6), grad student Bronwyn Lee (19:51.1), and sophomore Sandra Re (19:52.6). Senior Megan Hannahan (20:26.3) and freshman Sara Chazik (21:46.4) rounded out the team's top six. For the complete results from the meet, check out our "Race Schedule" tab. Last weekend, BRC traveled to Knox Farm State park to compete in the Northeast Early Season Invitational, hosted by SUNY Buffalo's Running Club. Both the guys and girls had very strong opening races in the 8k and 5k respectively, and we have high hopes for the rest of the season!
The guys finished second as a team with sophomores Mike Totaro and Jack Murphy getting the top two spots overall with 27:37.6 and 27:44.6 respectively. Freshman Ed Soriano ran a strong first race with BRC at 28:56.5, finishing 8th overall. Sophomore Dylan Mitlof and freshman Dylan Ambroise also had impressive performances, running 29:17.7 and 29:34.4. Freshmen Brian Egan (29:37.4) and Brennan Kaisen (29:55.3) rounded out the team's top seven. The girls finished first as a team, with grad student Bronwyn Lee running an impressive 22:11.0 and getting first overall. There were also strong performances by sophomore Sandra Re and freshman Phoebe Herreid, who ran 22:46.0 and 23:22.0 respectively. Senior Megan Hannahan (23:30.0) and freshman Sara Chazik (26:30.0) rounded out the team's top five. More complete results can be found in the Race Schedule Tab. We'd like to wish good luck to everyone competing this Saturday at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational, as well as to everyone competing in the Binghamton University Running Club Open Invitational September 22nd.
